Based on their Reimagining Equitable Productions (REP) curriculum, Broadway Advocacy Coalition has developed a training designed specifically for theater industry workers to collectively build their capacity to make systems change both within and beyond the theater industry.
This four hour workshop features several units to develop participant’s ability to:
Identify, investigate, and dissect a problem
Map the systemic landscape problems are situated in
Uncover alternative forms of power that can be leveraged for change
Discover our unique roles and understand our relationship to others in making change
Form diverse coalitions to support making effective change
Test potential strategies for intervention using principles of transformative justice
After completing Change Agent Training, participants are added to BAC’s alumni network and invited to attend regular “Office Hours” to continue working in community to build power and work to achieve specific change goals.
Is there something you want to change but don’t know where to start? Are you already engaged in change work and looking to meet and collaborate with other change agents?
CAT is offered quarterly to theater industry workers at no cost. Capacity is limited.
