KULTURE SHOCK VOL. II: TRANSFORMING LEARNING SPACES
8 to Abolition Point:
Remove Police from Schools
This is an interactive theatrical presentation and curriculum that educates, engages and empowers BIPOC youth voice to expose and dismantle police culture + presence in schools. Youth ARTIVIST will build and present their Kulture Shock show to directly address the KPS district on suspension, expulsions, restraints and the presence of police in their learning spaces.
ENGAGEMENT STRATEGY
We want 3 schools to commit to partnering with Kulture Shock to lower suspensions, expulsions by 50% within 2 school year terms. We want audience members to make a commitment to practicing an anti- police culture with BIPOC youth in schools.
